"Greetings Discovery! I am Kappy Williams, and it is with great enthusiasm that I join Discovery Elementary as a 4th grade teacher. With 28 years of experience in education, I bring a passion for teaching and a commitment to nurturing each student’s potential. Participating in students' growth is a delightful experience for me. I love to spend time with my family which includes my husband, two grown children and two teenagers. We enjoy traveling, playing games, and sports. In my free time I enjoy swimming, watching my kids’ sports, quilting with my mom and reading. I am looking forward to getting to know you! See you soon."

Hello,
My name is Nick Greene. I'm excited to be joining the team at Discovery this year! I grew up in Brigham City. I've spent the last 7 years teaching special education in the SLC School District, and truly enjoy working in this field. I'm looking forward to being back in Brigham City, serving the community I grew up in. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my 2.5 year old daughter. I also like watching and playing sports.
I look forward to meeting you and your students in the new school year!
It's kindergarten registration season!
For hitting our PTA Fun Run goal, students at Discovery got to turn Mr. Barrow into a Sundae today!
The Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge is doing their annual Bird Banner Contest! See the photos for more information.
For our April POD Card activity, students got to go outside for an extra break and enjoy some Kona Ice snow cones! Thank you students for being SAFE, RESPECTFUL, and RESPONSIBLE!
Dolphins had a great time at our Fun Run PTA Fundraiser! Thanks for all the help and support from our community that made this possible. We raised enough funds to turn Mr. Barrow into an ice cream sundae!!!

This month, students celebrated following our school rules of being RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE, SAFE, and ACCOUNTABLE by having an indoor snowball fight!
Update to our February lunch menu! On Friday the 23rd the second lunch choice is hot dog, not PBJ.

Ms. Geddes's class hit the slopes at Beaver Mountain this week for an awesome field trip!
Discovery Families-
Neptune Skating in Ogden is offering free skating for Discovery families and friends tomorrow night, Wednesday, the 24th. Please see the attached flier for more details.
MOVIE DAY at Discovery! Our kids had a blast at Walker Cinemas for our January POD Card Activity. Students earned this by raising funds for our fundraiser and earning enough POD Cards for the month by following our 3 Big Rules -Be Safe, Be Respectful, and Be Responsible.
