On Tuesday, October 31, students will be allowed to celebrate Halloween and wear costumes to school if they wish. Please read and follow the below guidelines to ensure we have a fun and safe day. -If you choose to wear a costume, it must be worn to school. -Face Masks or Paint must not cover the whole face. We must be able to recognize students. Students may be asked to remove a mask if it is impeding their learning or is a distraction. -Students must be able to wear costume inside, outside, to PE and other preps and be able to sit, write, and move as usual. Bulky or uncomfortable costumes that would not allow students to sit at their desk or participate normally in the day’s activities should not be worn. -Costumes must not be too scary or inappropriate for the school environment. No blood, gore, etc… -No props are allowed. (swords, shields, weapons, wands, etc...) -If something is broken or lost at school the teachers and staff are not responsible. We hope this will be a fun opportunity to look forward to and remember. We also appreciate your support as we endeavor to ensure that all students learn at high levels. Parents are welcome to join us to view our costume parade at 2:00 if they wish. Staff will be available to show you where to stand. Any student who does not attend due to religious reasons will not be marked absent from school. If this applies to you, please call the front office and notify the secretaries at 425-515-5500. Sincerely, Shaylyn Ekins, Principal Dallin Gittins, Assistant Principal
